About the hub
Our history:
Inglewood Arts Hub launched in April 2023, as a result of the determined efforts of a dedicated group of local artists, art lovers, people who live in or around Inglewood, and the Inglewood on Beaufort Inc. committee, with support from the City of Stirling, the WA government Small Grants program, and the RAC Connecting Communities Fund. In April 2024, the Hub's new art gallery opened. In October 2024, Inglewood Arts Hub became incorporated and IAH's volunteer management committee was elected in November 2024.
Our mission and purpose:
To strengthen connections and sense of belonging within our local community of artists
To offer a wide range of arts activities for community and artists to experience and enjoy
Who we are & what we do:
Our vibrant volunteer/artists-run hub includes an Art Gallery (opened in 2024) with a new exhibition every two weeks, Artist-In-Residence (AIR) program, local and visiting Artist Talks, excursions to art studios and galleries (Hub on the Move), space for artists/creatives to practice in a welcoming environment in regular social art groups, artist workshops, and Community Arts Projects.
Get involved:
Without volunteers we would not be able to do what we do. Volunteering is a meaningful way to connect with our creative community. Put your skills, knowledge, time, and enthusiasm to good use as a volunteer at our art gallery, or behind the scenes to work with our volunteer management committee.
Currently, we're looking for gallery volunteers, practicing artists to provide support in the AIR Program, and people who have financial, administrative, organisational, secretarial, arts management, communications, marketing, promotions qualifications or skills to work with our management committee volunteers.
